The Omaha and Council Bluffs Hy-Vee stores presented a check on November 30 to the Nebraska/Iowa chapter of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. The check, totaling more than $32,000, provided $25,000 for Take Steps Omaha 2017 and an additional $7,800 for Take Steps Omaha 2018.
“I’m still trying to wrap my head around this amazing surprise. We are so fortunate to have Hy-Vee’s support and can’t thank you enough,” said Amanda Hall, community manager for the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of Nebraska/Iowa. “When the next big research breakthroughs are announced, I hope Hy-Vee takes pride in playing such a vital role in that future success.”
The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation’s Take Steps Walk in Omaha is held in June. Hy-Vee employees participated in the walk, raised money in stores and provided all of the food and refreshments.
